Kathryn Bader

Graphic Designer/Graduate Student

A singer with Voices Lesbian Choral Ensemble from 1994 to 2002, Kathryn (above, right) regards performing in a Voices quartet for Purple Moon's
1998 production of "Pearl Diving" as a musical career high. During "The
Tenth
," the quartet reprised Renee Arakaki's "Night Sounds." In her former life, she was also a member of the a cappella group StarFruit, which performed in 2003 for both the APIQTWC Lunar Banquet and the Asian Women's Shelter Benefit. She recently joined the new Oakland a cappella choir Sistahs Singin' In Pride.

Kathryn is sole proprietor of Kathryn Bader Design and is completing her
M.A. in Culture and Spirituality from Holy Names University. She very
happily lives with her partner Tricia Schnedar (above, left) and her three kitties — Sophie, Tavish, and Cosmo — near Dimond Park in Oakland.

Passions include graphic design; writing; organic gardening; her family's
farm in Iowa; her three-year-old niece Chase; long, challenging hikes; traveling to mystical places; collaborative spiritual activism; and dreaming
of a sustainable world for all beings.
