Please join Purple Moon Dance Project's
(PMDP) second Community Healing
Garden Festival. The Community Healing Garden Festival will
bring together
a diverse group of leading women health professionals, organizations,
agencies and advocates to celebrate the lives of women and
elders living
with life threatening illnesses, women in recovery from
substance abuse and
surviving domestic violence. Dance and music performances,
art making, free
bodywork, health workshops and low-cost to free resources
will be provided
throughout the day. The Community Healing Garden Festival
was created to
not only celebrate life, but to provide a unique opportunity
for
non-traditional outreach methods to a broad and diverse
community by
providing health resources through the use of the arts!
The
Community Healing Garden Festival is put together
by the many hands of our community partners such as: Asian
and Pacific Islander Queer and Questioning (AQU25A),
Asian and Pacific
Islander Wellness Center (APIWC), Asian
Women's Shelter, Japanese Cultural and Community Center
of Northern California (JCCCNC), Asian
Communities for Reproductive Justice (ACRJ), C.O.L.A.G.E.
(Children of Lesbians and Gays Everywhere), Lyon-Martin
Women's Health Services, Narika,
Our Family Coalition,
UCSF National Center of Excellence in Women's Health, Positive
Health Program - UCSF and San Francisco General Hospital,
Health Initiatives for Youth
(HIFY), Lesbian
